The
All-Canadian Jazz Festival is held in the Municipality of Port
Hope, Ontario. The Town of Port Hope was incorporated in 1834.
In May 2002, TV Ontario's Studio 2 recognized Port Hope's Walton
Street as the ‘Best Preserved Main Street in Ontario’. Port Hope's
antique and specialty art shops, cheerful cafes, pubs, and restaurants
draw thousands of tourists each year. The Ganaraska River, renowned
for some of the best trout and salmon fishing in Ontario, flows
through the downtown core.
The
Municipality of Port Hope is located on the north side of Lake
Ontario about an hour's drive east of Toronto, just south of Highway
401 at exits 461 and 464.

Directions to Port Hope
1)
If you are coming from the Toronto/Oshawa area please take the
401 East and exit at the first Port Hope exit (Exit # 461). Turn
south and follow the signs to Port Hope's downtown and business
areas. Port Hope is about 100 km from downtown Toronto, or about
one hour by car.

If you are coming from the Peterborough area, please take County
Road 28 south to Port Hope and follow signs to downtown area.
Peterborough is about 50 km from the Town of Port Hope, or approximately
3/4 hour by car.

If you are coming from the Kingston area, please take Hwy #401
West and exit at the first Port Hope exit (Exit # 464). Go south
and follow the signs to downtown. Kingston is approximately 150
km from Port Hope or 1 1/2 hours.
