Friday night’s opening party was nothing short of fabulous. As per my forecast, everyone was there and they were very thirsty after swinging with The Quickshifters and reminiscing (about nervously slow dancing in the high school gym) while listening to Brass Transit.

Oscar Peterson’s daughter Celine presented “Uncle Ollie” (Oliver Jones) with a homemade Birthday cake.
It takes over 100 dedicated volunteers to make this Festival happen. Many thanks to our valued Volunteers, like our gatekeepers Kym and Marg who only let really close friends in for free (lol) and
John McGuirk our artistic director who refuses to be paid and also regularly donates to this Festival and also volunteers at the CD tent all weekend and coordinates Roadshows post season. We suspect he loves having his picture taken with our celebrities like Dione Taylor
