It's Local Talent Time
The Quickshifters
The Quickshifters

“Rising stars” need a few breaks along the way to stand out from the rest of theup and comers. Our Artistic Director has strategically picked “rising stars” to open for our crowd pleasing Friday and Saturday night headliners. The Quickshifters get their “break” on Friday Night when they open for Brass Transit. Prepare to start gyrating at 7 pm when these homeboys burst into swamp boogie and swing. A warmed up crowd is guaranteed for Brass Transit’s Chicago Tribute which follows.

Saturday night’s treat is singer/songwriter Chelsey Bennett who will no doubt be performing to a full house when she opens for the Oliver Jones Trio on Saturday night.. This Peterborough native who now resides in Toronto will enchant the audience with her musical style and vocal timbre.

Though Yogi Berra said “it’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future”...here goes

1. The Free Friday night concert with The Quickshifters and Brass Transit will fill Memorial Park, after all, Brass Transit is back by popular request…plan to get there early

2. Saturday night’s concert with Chelsey Bennett opening, Oliver Jones Trio headlining and Dione Taylor making a guest appearance will be sold-out. Buy your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
